Erie County Probation Officers Make Arrests

BUFFALO, NY -- Erie County Probation Officers took some potentially dangerous offenders back off the streets last week.

Probation Officers served two warrants on offenders wanted for felony charges.  Joanne Medley of St. Lawrence Place in Buffalo was arrested on felony possession of cocaine charges and bail jumping on a warrant from Georgia.  She also had a felony warrant in Lackawanna.  Gary Agthe of Mill Road in West Seneca was arrested for violating a probation warrant.  He was also found to have a felony warrant in the Town of Cheektowaga.

Officers also conducted a home visit at 13174 Transit Line Road in Springville.  During the visit, two handguns were located in the home.  One of the guns was loaded with hollow point rounds and had a defaced serial number.  Upon further investigation, officers discovered a marijuana growing operation in the basement of the home.  Officers also recovered more than 300 morphine pills hidden in a wall cut out.  James O’Brien was turned over to the Erie County Sheriff’s Office to face numerous charges.
