Author Book-Signing at the Buffalo and Erie County Historical Society

Join us at the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society for an author book-signing featuring local historians and educators Gerald L. Halligan and John Koerner. The two are authors of “Lackawanna,” a new photography-heavy book from Arcadia Publishing's "Images of America" series. It will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 25.

On that day, the book will be available for sale at the Historical Society shop, and the authors available to meet and greet as well as sign copies of their soft-cover book ($21.99, 10% discount for Historical Society members). The event is FREE to the public.

June 20, 2011 –‘Friends, Buffalonians, Wine Connoisseurs, lend us your ears!’, The Buffalo Bisons announced today that the 2nd Annual ‘Bases Merlot-ed’ Wine Tasting event will feature Shakespeare at the Ballpark on Saturday, July 16 at Coca-Cola Field (6-10pm).

Shakespeare in Delaware Park’s 36th Season Opens Tonight

BUFFALO, NY – Merchant of Venice hits the stages of Shakespeare in Delaware Park tonight at 7:30pm as the 36th Season debuts.

Following the annual Opening Night Reception, which begins at 6pm in the Marcy Casino, the free show takes the stage within Olmstead Park to kick-off a summer of delightful performances.

A dramatic comedy that is perhaps best known for the famous 'Hath not a Jew eyes' speech,  Merchant will run Tuesdays through Sundays until July 10th.  Then the ever popular, As You Like It, will be begin on Thursday, July 21st and run until August 14th.

Shakespeare in Delaware Park performances are held every evening (except Mondays) at 7:30 pm.  Shows take place on Shakespeare Hill in Delaware Park, next to Hoyt Lake behind the Rose Garden, off Lincoln Parkway near the Albright-Knox Art Gallery.

Shakespeare In Delaware Park (SDP) will be hitting the stage at 7:30pm on Thursday June 16th with MERCHANT OF VENICE.  Be a part of it as we celebrate 36 years of FREE theater in the beautiful Olmsted Park.  MERCHANT will run Tuesdays through Sundays until July 10th.  Then the ever popular AS YOU LIKE IT will begin on Thursday July 21 and run until August 14th.

SDP is also proud to announce many special events happening at the park this season.....

*Wednesdays local musical groups including: WNY Choral, Vocalis, The Freudig Singers, Presto Strings and Harmonia will perform pre-show music on the SDP stage at 7pm.
