Donate Items To Help Hurricane Victims | Community Spirit
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Each day I will write about something that a person can do to help others. I want to show that we can help others without having a lot of money or time. I feel strongly that we all have something that we can offer. The things that I write about will usually not take up much time or require large donations. I love the daily Ways to Save. This can be a Ways to Give.

I have written about the work this organization does in Haiti and Africa. Now they are turning their efforts to helping the victims of Hurricane Sandy. I received an email of things that they need. If you have any old coats, blankets, hats, or gloves instead letting them sit around for another year why not send them to help. The need is immediate.
Here’s what they need: water, flashlights, batteries, non-perishable food, diapers, baby wipes, school supplies, new socks, blankets, linens, jackets, hats, gloves, backpacks, suitcases, garbage bags, brooms, mops, buckets, cleaning supplies, shovels, extension cords (waterproof), rain jackets, personal hygiene products, vitamin supplements (including Pedialyte and Ensure), glucometers, strips and lancets.
The Address is: AFYA Foundation 140 Saw Mill River Road Yonkers, NY 10701
