Fashion Trends at the Golden Globe 2012 | Events

Some of the biggest star hit the red carpet for the 69th annual Golden globes and all eyes are always on the red carpet fashions. Stars not only take home Golden globes many also often leave getting the best or worst dressed award as well.

• This year red carpet fashion trends seemed to have Latin influences with the form fitting silhouettes, fish tail hems, thigh-high slits, color blocks, bustle, sultry backs, embellishments chiffon and sequins. The colors on the red carpet were lighter hues/neutrals, jewel tones, reds, black&white and yellow.

• Jewels were minimized but most accessories were bright, vintage, funky or chunky. The cocktail ring was the top accessory of choice and I did see some hair accessories and I adored the vintage 1920’s headband by Cartier worn by Charlize Theron.

• Hair on the red carpet was all about the messy updo, soft waves, slick, side buns, bed hair, ponytail with lots shine and gloss. Makeup was soft, classic and clean with dark eyeliner, mauve lips and flirty lashes.

My top choice for best dressed include: Charlize Theron, Elle Macpherson, Mary J Blige, Sofia Vergara, and Michelle Williams and Evan Rachel wood.
