DJ Jickster to live on Food Bank of WNY trailer for one week 

WHAT:  Kickoff press conference for 7th annual 97 Rock’s “OPERATION:Rock Out Hunger” to benefit the Food Bank of WNY

WHEN:  Wednesday, November 14, 2012, 4:00 p.m.

WHERE:  Quaker Steak and Lube Restaurant parking lot, 6727 Transit Road, Williamsville NY

WHO:  97 Rock’s DJ Jickster will move into a 48-foot Food Bank of WNY trailer and call it home for 7 days as he promotes a frozen turkey, cash and food drive to fill the trailer.

DETAILS:  For the seventh straight year, 97 Rock’s DJ Jickster will host “OPERATION: Rock Out Hunger,” which starts at 4 p.m. on Wednesday and concludes at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21.  Marylou Borowiak, President and CEO of the Food Bank of WNY will be there, along with a  representative from National Fuel, who will announce it is matching every turkey donated this year. 

Owners of Gui’s Lumber in Niagara Falls will be donating $3,000 worth of frozen turkeys and Bills’ fullback Corey McIntyre will also be there.  Since Jickster began Rock Out Hunger, he has raised $45,894, 61,502 pounds of food and 6,904 turkeys.That has helped the Food Bank to distribute 324,430 meals and 6,904 turkeys for Thanksgiving dinners in WNY.
