BUFFALO, NY - Police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place early Sunday morning at 659 Minnesota Avenue.

According to police, a male and female were leaving a party around 1:20am when they were shot.

The 23-year-old female, Samantha Cothran, did not survive. Cothran was a 2007 graduate of Buffalo's Nardin Academy. She attended Fisk University in Nashville. 

The male victim, in his 20's, is expected to be okay.
