Deputies Arrest Man for Drugs at Check Point | News

BUFFALO, NY - A Buffalo man was arrested at an Erie County Sheriff's Strike Force safety road check Monday night.
The Sherriff's Office says Strike Force Deputies Mike Hoock and Jason Breinlinger arrested George J. Mitchell, 22, of Buffalo at Military Road and Hertel Avenue around 7:30 p.m.
While the deputies were speaking to Mitchell they smelled a strong odor of marijuana in his car.
Mitchell was found to have a few small bags of marijuana on him, and he admitted to having 15 un-prescribed Lortabs in his car's center console.
He was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree, and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana.
Mitchell will stay at the Erie County Holding Center until he can post $500 bail or until his arraignment in Buffalo City Court.
